We’re currently accepting paid freelance work for articles and reviews. All our authors are fully credited for their work. All payments are made via PayPal.
You can apply directly to be a reviewer right here.
Please send article pitches to our email. Along with your pitch please provide examples of previous writing. The examples do not have to be professional-paid work, though they need to be as similar in tone and form to your pitch as possible.
We’re happy to listen to any pitches based around board games, card games or the wider industry, but keep in mind that we don’t cover pen and paper RPGs or trading card games, so we generally won’t accept articles focused solely on those.
Payment is depending on the breadth and depth of the article and can range from £50 to £200.
We’re also looking to expand our review library with some classic titles.
We’re after reviews for over 500 different games. We don’t require any photography – just a review of between 750 and 1,500 words. We’re happy for you to write in your own style though we do provide review guidelines to make sure our reviews remain consistent.
Please note that we don’t send these games out to you: They need to be games you already own and play. [Apply here!](https://playopolis.net/freelancer/apply.php] listing any games from your collection you would be happy to review, along with examples of your previous writing and we’ll work out what we need.
The writing examples do not have to be professional work but they do have be from previous reviews or critical work you have written.
Payment will depend on the length of the review and the game itself – we pay between £25 and £40 for these older titles.
