Restoration Games have announced that they will be releasing a cooperative version for their 2017 re-release of Stop Thief!
Stop Thief is a game that was originally released in 1979. Last year, Restoration Games launched a Kickstarter to revamp the game, replacing its electronic scanning component with an app.
Stop Thief! sees 2-4 players compete to find the invisible thieves, which can only be located by the sounds they make as they move around the board. Previously an electronic scanner would be used to detect these sounds, but now an app has taken its place.
As part of the Kickstarter Campaign's stretch goals, Restoration Games pledged to release a co-operative mode for the game. This mode is now available via an app update.
Designer, Justin D. Jacobson, stated:
The new mode is not paid DLC, but a free update that comes with the app. This is very generous, considering how much it adds to the game. Also on the way are the 1-vs-all and solo modes.
