Arcane Wonders, the studio responsible for games like Onitama and Mage Wars has annouced Senshi will be releasing in May.
In this new game, you play as a 'Senshi', a warrior-monk competing with the other students to be worthy of replacing your aging master. By developing your Strength, Wisdom, Agility, Wisdom and Honour, you will prove that you are worthy.
It is being developed as a quick 15 minute game for 2-4 players. The game is played by moving around tiles, which attribute strength, agility, wisdom or honour to your Senshi.
Senshi is being designed by Dan Manfredini, who has worked on games such as Burgoo and Island Siege. Stephen Gibson, the artist behind Grimslingers and Champions of Hara is contributing illustrations.
At the start of the game, the players will place one of the 'Training Cards' in front of themselves. On their turn, they may choose to 'Study', 'Train' or 'Test' to improve their abilities.
Studying, will allow the player to move a stack of tiles to their training card. Training lets the player claim a tile for their hand. Finally, when you Test your Senshi, you move a tile from your hand to the Scoring Pile on your Training Card.
Each player with the smallest Scoring Pile at the end of the game is eliminated, and the remaining player is the winner.
In March, Senshi will be previewed at the GAMA Trade Show, Reno, where it will be shown off, before its release in May. For more information, check out the Senshi product page
