Everyday it gets harder to think of a company, which Asmodee hasn't worked with or bought. Today's new partnership is Kingnet, a Chinese mobile games developer and internet content provider.
This partnership will allow Kingnet to develop apps, bringing Asmodee content to the Chinese market. Stéphane Carville, CEO of the Asmodee Group, commented on the partnership:
Carville also mentions that Asmodee are trying to increase their presence in all platforms. For example, they recently partnered with Experiment 7 to develop Catan VR. However, there is also an emphasis on expanding their app catalog.
Ticket to Ride, The Lord of the Rings™ – Living Card Game™ and more than 30 other board games have been brought to iOS, Android and Steam by Asmodee to date, with new updates being released every day.
Wang Yue, CEO of Kingnet, added:
At the moment, Asmodee Digital design, develop and publish their own apps in Europe and North America. They also have created apps for third party organisations, making this partnership unique as it outsources the app development of their existing board games to China for the Chinese market.
They have picked a good developer to partner with too, because Kingnet have released popular games such as Skyscraper, Shushan Legend, MU Miracle. They are also a jack of all trades pertaining to digital development.
