Queen Games are currently previewing three new games for 2018 at the Spielwarenmesse trade fair in Nürnberg, Germany.
First is Rüdiger Dorn's Luxor is a 2-4 player game for ages 8+, due out in March. The game will have players explore the temple of Luxor, to hunt for treasure and the tomb of the Pharaoh.
Whoever can get their team of adventurers to the tomb first with the most treasure as possible will win. The path to the tomb can change during gameplay, making every game different.
Second is Franchise, created by Christwart Conrad. This is more of a grown-up game, which plays 2-5 people age 12+, in 60 minutes. It is due for an August release.
Set in the 1960s USA, players take the role of entrepreneurs, who are trying to become successful business people. Expand your small business into new towns, with new branches. By increasing profits, you can increase influence, and the player with the most influence wins.
The final game on this list is much more for children. Kobold, designed by Marco Ruskowski and Marcel Süßelbeck is due out in March.
In this game, you play as kobolds trying to steal toys and gems from a character called Maurice. This character will be chasing the kobolds throughout the game, using a flashlight, which is built into the game.You gain points for the things you steal at the end of the game, and whoever has the most points is the winner.
