I recently wrote about the increase in successful board game Kickstarter campaigns. One such campaign was IDW's Legend of Korra: Pro-bending Arena, which finished in September last year.
Although perhaps slightly unnecessary for a large publisher such as IDW, this project was most likely run to gauge demand for the project before selling it, and this was justified by the $254,501 total that it ended on.
The game, which sees players compete in the show's pro-bending tournaments, is aimed to be delivered next month. A more detailed explanation can be seen in he game's rulebook, which is on their website.
There are also the rulebook for the game's expansion, Amon's Invasion, on that page, as well as more details on the page as well. The update reveals that the production for both games will be wrapped in a few weeks and will be shipping in February. On their facebook they shared a few more pictures and components.
The expansion allows for three new modes, as described below:
Mode 2: Avatar Korra (Solo Bender) lets a player be Avatar Korra and play her as a single team or incorporate her into “And the Winner is…” with another player controlling to other benders.
Mode 3: Villain: Amon (Solo Bender) lets a player control Amon and his equalist minions.
